General notes on photos

jlw
among other things the step trench excagations in MZ6 uncovered a number of burials and graves, particular at higher elegations. One was an elaborate tomb in what is now
k31
in MZ14. As we were removing backfill and topsoil we encountered two lines of baked bricks,
f281
and
f287
. When we began to clear the dirt and plastic sheeting from the area between to the southeast, we realized that this was a previously excavated elaborate grave. We immediately stopped excagating. This photograph documents the condition of the grave before we re-covered it for remogal in a following season.
