These are the white reed matting layers within f99 in k1. Originally, f99 was defined as the white layers, but in practice, it was the soil around the white layers, where the reed matting had not been preserved. We did not actually remove the white layers themselves, except within the eastern part of k100, which we (incorrectly) labelled f97. f97, f121 and f99 were the (presumed) floor surfaces associated with each of the reed mats. Although the white layers in fact are a series of multiple instances, we have not given them individual numbers because we have not excavated them yet. [Input: N908JL.j] |
