| 2005-09-17 | jW | A length of fired, cylindrical clay pipe, approximately 80cm long, probably made to transport water. It was more likely than not made by placing loops of pottery clay around a form and smoothing the exterior by hand. Finger marks on the diagonal can be clearly seen on the exterior, which is roughened, either by inclusions in the clay's temper or natural concretions deposited after it was made.
