| Description (summary) | 2004-07-20 | aP | Reddish layer at the bottom of the trench in k2. This material is the same kind of packing that characterizes all structures dating to the 3rd millennium BCE. It's called "bakkaya" and we have found it also in connection with the temple and the palace. It was carried here intentionally and used as filling. Presence of white material which at a first sight seems plaster but it's actually organic material. The top elevation is m3647 + 46 - 141; the bottom is m3687 + 20 - 164.
