This photograph shows the east baulk of k1 and k2 after it was scored for drawing, but before it was removed. One can see that after the second apron, f532, began to be covered, soil accumulated uniformly and gradually until the present day. However, the revetment wall, f569, was covered in a diffent way. Numerous thin laminations resembling varves in lakes were regularly deposited over an unknown time. A horizontal tape can be seen, which represents the elevation reference for the drawing.
