This is the topsoil layer in k62 that covers the whole square. It is very compact in consistence and fine in texture. Once removed it has a platy structure, it is loose and a bit dusty. It is characterized by dark organic band due to the presence of roots (which are small in dimension). It is rich in pebbles and stones of medium dimensions (approx. 10x6cm) and poor in pottery sherds. [Input: Q818PC.j] |
