2. IDENTIFICATION

Designation

Roster Date Author Record
Description (summary) 2001-08-25 jl This was the remaining portion of the mud ledge, standing on the stones of the circle in the north wall which curved out slightly, the remains of the older stone wall. Since the rest of the wall had fallen, we decided to remove this small section in order to clearly see the ledge, which is an important part of our argument that the underground structure used to be a complete circle. Deposition

Roster Date Author Record
Notes on deposition 2001-08-13 jl This part of the mud ledge had been laid on top of the stones of f375, obscuring it from view. Hence, we originally believed that the stones were a foundation of sorts for the mud ledge. It was not until the winter rains washed away most of the ledge that we began to suspect that f374 and f375 were touching through coincidence, not on purpose. [Input: L913JL.j]
