This view shows the k71, and partly, k70 as well, at the end of the 2006 excavation season. This view shows f10, f50 in k71 and the difference in elevation between this locus and k72, where, besides different floating limestones, a galcis layer was exposed (f127). The section visible in the view (which is the N section of k72) does suggest that f50 is part of the build-up of the tell mound, since it is mainly made of a series of different layering of fine and less fine soil, which seems to be water and wind-blown deposits. The view shows also f106 and its pedestal; f106 was found while removing another floating stone, f20, hidden whithin its accumulation (f98). Looking N. [Input: U321SC.j] |
