The production process
The UGR browser edition is produced from a relatively simple input, subdivided in a number of different files written by different people. This is then processed by different programs, which organize the material into an overall unified and coherent interplanar system, articulated into a number of distinct digital books. In the process, the programs identify errors and suggests possible corrections.
The process depends therefore on an input that is grammatically structured and on a set of programs that produce the browser edition. We may consider this production process as being the result of automated logic

Artificial intelligence
The term “automated logic” seems preferable over the term “artificial intelligence” because the latter implies a degree of autonomous agency which is in fact lacking.
