General Description

The Late Chalcolithic Tan Slipped ware can be identified by its tan slip and carbon core. It has chaff temper and chaff can be seen in both the section and the on the surface.

Small and medium lithic temper, much medium length chaff on the surface but mostly fine chaff in section.

Surface tan, interior red.

Surface Treatment

Slipped and therefore somewhat smooth.
