Stratigraphy
Phase 9c (stratum 50) comprises the post-abandonment soil layers just below those of Phase 9m. During the times that they were deposited, the tell was occasionally visited for short periods by travelers and herders who left scant traces of their stay. The evidence consists of spots of burned soil and clusters of pebbles in mud matrices (f142). As with strata above and below, there are also displaced stones in the soil.
