Stratigraphy{#stratigraphy TO=”“}
Phase 9m consists of the topsoil (stratum 20) and the first layer of natural accumulation under it (stratum 30).
The topsoil layer (f126) is rarely more than 10cm thick and supports the vegetation actively growing above ground.
The next layer (f129) consists of the most recent soil deposits (usually aolean and sometimes compacted by precipitation). Stones displaced by erosion and moved by water are often found in these layers.
