Description (summary) | 2001-07-16 | ed | Drain, wich starts in the west side of the pit. Constituted by two big stones: the lower one worked as a basin, 43 cm high and 57 cm large; on this stone leans another one, which shows thick calcareous white concretions on the lower face. It measures at least 1 meter in length, as it is possible to look down the empty space between the two stones. [Input: L718ED.j] |
2001-08-18 | jl | This is the drain found in the western wall of the pit, which does not continue on the eastern side. Presumably, the mouth of the drain was exactly where they dug the pit, and was torn out in the digging process. The drain visibly continues for a long distance underneath the south baulk of A12k6. It was probably a drain system for the stone platform itself. [Input: L818JL.j] |
