Description/Count
Description 2006-9-29mS stone and sherd surface although it is not as dense as f232. The stones, or pebbles, are also larger. This floor or surface is at 8655 which is about the same elevation as the animal skull in k118, i42. [Input file: Q926MS.J / Q926MS.-J]
2006-9-30mS may actually be the same feature as f240 but we excavated it sooner. It is at a slightly lower elevation but this is probably because these accumulations or surfaces are following the slope of the escarpment. We will follow f238 to see if it is the same as f240. [Input file: Q926MS.J / Q926MS.-J]
2008-7-29mM This feature has a compact very hard texture. It shows pebbles of different size, ranging from small to large size, and different kinds of sherds, again small and large in size, laying in a flat way. Fragments of bones are also found in it. In the south east corner the pebbles are more numerous and of bigger size compared to those in the rest of the feature. It is unclear if this is due to accident or intentional planning. f238 slops rather sharply in the south west corner. [Input file: S729MM.J / S729MM.-J]

Recovery/Assignment and the Record
Daily 2006-10-8mS we removed the sherds and bones from f238 before taking a photograph. We have the feature after everything was removed and before it was totally excavated. [Input file: QX08MS1.J / QX08MS1.-J]
Argument 2008-8-3rE f240 is the same as f238 and they both overlay f239. [Input file: S720RE.J / S720RE.-J]
Harmonization 2011-9-28lC To distinguish from a cronological point of view the two moments (EDIII construction/use and Mittani use) we created two features f900 (EDIII construction) and f901 (Mittani use) that were respectively assigned to s610 s610J1A and s190 s190J1A. The other records remain under f238, f240 and f325. [Input file: V928LC.J / V928LC.-J]
Problems in recording 2011-9-28lC This feature (as f240 and f325) was interpreted as the first Mittani pavement in the Plaza. Further analisys show the pavement was built in EDIII and used until Mittani period. The two different moments were excavated as a single one, so the pottery is mixed Mittani, EDIII and Ninevite 5 (coming from levels underneath). [Input file: V928LC.J / V928LC.-J]

Stratigraphic reasons 2006-10-7mS this is the first surface we have reached which follows the slope of the escarpment. We currently consider this accumulation to be Khabur, stratum 30. [Input file: QX06MS1.J / QX06MS1.-J]
Typological reasons 2006-10-7mS the pottery has not been analyzed yet. [Input file: QX06MS1.J / QX06MS1.-J]
2006-10-8mS mKB analyzed the sherds from this feature and had determined that it is Khabur. [Input file: QX08MS1.J / QX08MS1.-J]

Other reasons 2006-10-7mS this is a very preliminary assignment and may change with further excavation and pottery analysis. [Input file: QX06MS1.J / QX06MS1.-J]
2011-9-28lC After a review of the overall stratigraphy and a complete pottery analysis the pavement was dated to EDIII period. It was then used until Mittani period, For a more detailed explanation see topic "harmonization strata problems" and "thought about the Plaza". [Input file: V928LC.J / V928LC.-J]
I99.NTime 2008-8-11mKB vast majority of sherds are Mittani, some Phase 1 and earlier (eg. Phase 1c pointed bases) and Late Chalcolithic shapes [Input file: S813MKB.J / S813MKB.-J]
2008-9-23rE this floor had been attributed to h6-J h6JPA in 2006 because the excavation was limited and the number of sherds insufficient. this year we have much larger number of sherds and it's clear that they belong to h7-J h7J <. [Input file: S9231RE.J / S9231RE.-J]
