Description/Count
Description 2009-9-11lC Stone wall running north to south bonded with wall f288, forming a big L shaped structure. The wall is built with irregular big sized stones and smaller stones and pebbles to regularize the face. As wall f288 the lower courses are made of bigger stones, better set out in the ground. Also as wall f288 this wall is slightly inclined to the west. Probably its function was like a coating-retaining wall linked with the accumulation coming from the west, brought from the strong water flowing. Its western face, next to the corner with wall f288, is filled with small pebbles, but to the south all the natural accumulations and floors are abutting it. This seems to me due to the water flowing, that before removed the earlier accumulation against which it was built and the pebbles and then it brought new accumulations as f346, f351 and f352. Probably this wall forms the western boundary for the Late Chalcolithic plaza. But more excavation is required. [Input file: T831LC.J / T831LC.-J]

Recovery/Assignment and the Record
Daily 2009-8-11lC Today, continuing to remove f196 we found other stones belonging to this wall. It is stepping down, and a couple of stones seem floating, but at least one row of stone is bonded to f288. Probably the wall was damaged ( f344) in the antiquity by water flows. [Input file: T808LC.J / T808LC.-J]
Argument 2008-8-21rE We thought first that this feature was a line of stones, but after removing f278 we figured out that it's a wall going north south. It looks also as aboundary of the ash from the west side. The emplacement of this feature suggests that it is earlier than the late escarpment f239. In this case f259 has been built at the same time of the early escarpment and the wall f72. For a better understanding of f259 further excavations in the north area of k127 are needed. [Input file: S813RE.J / S813RE.-J]
2010-8-28lC The wall is inclined to the west and it is impossible it was built freestanding. As shown by v425 any cut is visible in the accumulations found behind it. But it seems that a cut with a filling is visible more to the north (v). So probably the old accumulations to the west of the wall were removed by water erosion that brought new material against it. The erosion should be very strong from the west to damage the first escarpment, the LC structures. [Input file: U828LC.J / U828LC.-J]

Other reasons 2012-10-15lC As for f288 the date is uncertain, first assigned to late Chalcolithic on the base of the few sherds found at the bottom of it, then has been suggested a Ninevite 5 date, on the basis of stratigraphic relationship with the nearby units. Following a conservative intepretation we assign it to phase 3f-JPD, waiting for new excavation for a final assignement.
