A group of bricks(red) and a brick structure with associated pit abutting a wahal glacis and overlaying a baqaya glacis, f109. The baqaya glacis, f109, was constructed in the Early Dynastic Period as part of the temple BA mound that includes a revetment wall, f11. Eventually the wall was covered with accumulation and a set of memory stones, a16, was placed atop it. A new wahal glacis, f152, was constructed atop at least the lower part of the baqaya glacis to make a smooth transition to the higher elevation of the memory stones. The wahal abutted a line of bricks that ran east to west along the north baulk of k23 and which included a deteriorated structure that may have incorporated a ceremonial pit. |
