Today we create this new locus with the previous loci k12 and k13. And begin to dig the feature f152. See nl in k12 for the explanation. We are going to let for the moment 50 cm in the N to be used as N baulk. We need to keep this baulk to have all the S section of k106, the column. [Input: P817CVP.j] |

contined going down here. When drawing the n section of k106 which is adjacent to this locus, vS and pC noticed the cut of a small pit, f187. We missed the cut and the other half of the pit in k106. We removed the fill, f186. The fill was similar to the surrounding accumulation and may have been a natural depression rather than manmade. We also uncovered a small piece of gold foil in this locus but no other outstanding items. [Input: P828MS1.j] |

we have reached the extremely hard material in this locus and the going has been very slow. Ceased excavations here however. This also was an unremarkable locus and followed the pattern of the other loci dug both this season and in past seasons. This locus is adjacent to k109 and we have finished at the same elevations. vS and pC drew the east baulk. We will now remove it to leave this locus at a uniform elevation. [Input: P828MS1.j] |
