General notes on photos 2001-09-18 jl This is a view from overhead, looking down at the east side of the cut A12 south baulk and the newly revealed stones behind it. With the baulk cut back so much, the actual boundaries of the fissure and the higher features are much more clear than before. v167a is a tight view of the lower half of the revealed stones from below, v167b is a tight view of the upper half of the revealed stones from below. On account of foreshortening, the distances between layers or stones shown becomes less accurate the further one gets away from the plane of the camera; however, the baulk is too large and the underground structure too confined to take a level photo of the entire baulk.
