Description (summary) 2008-07-28 cJC Very fine material. Some areas, when picked with the small pick, come apart in chunks. There are melted bricks. The feature is softer near where it touches f64 and gets progressively harder moving west. A large body sherd (possibly from a storage jar) was found in the center of the feature. [Input: S728HQ.J]

Notes on recovery 2008-07-29 cJC Towards the bottom of f65 there were reddish brown pieces of clay with very sharp faces. We kept some pieces for a q-item. It seems that the character of the feature changes slightly approaching the bottom. [Input: S729CJC.J]
