Other reasons, reservations, qualifications 2012-10-07 jW We hypothesize that the EDIII glacis was kept clean for several successive periods of occupation, which accounts for the general lack of ceramics and items in this early Mittani stratum. We assume that the LC sherds were either deposited by EDIII excavators who dug deeper into the temple mound or that the LC sherds were washed down the mound from deteriorating LC structures above.
