Preservation 2001-09-15 MKB the head is broken below the mouth in the front and at what appears to be the bottom of the hat in the rear. [Input: L915mkb2.j]
Iconographic description, specific 2001-09-15 MKB female head wearing a tall rectangular hat which is wide in front but narrow on the sides, diagonal modeled strands of hair come from under hat and fall over forehead. At this point the shape of the face changes to one in which the linear quality of the nose and the flatness of the face on either side of the nose are emphasized. In other words the face becomes pointed as it were with the nose and the mouth in the highest relief with the eyes and cheeks flattened on either side. The eyes are large in proportion to the rest of the face and are made as an applied circle with a triangular piece attached to the first circle. Part of the mouth is preserved as well as a hint of the chin. [Input: L915mkb2.j]
Style 2001-09-15 MKB different from the statuette found in A12 (A12.30), this face has no emphasis on the cheeks but rather details the pointed and linear nature of the nose and mouth which are in effect framed by the large applied eyes which are in turn framed by the thick diagonal eyebrows and the ears which may have traces of holes for earrings. [Input: L915mkb2.j]
Notes on typology 2001-09-15 MKB As toware, light buff clay with some small chaff inclusions [Input: L915mkb2.j]
2001-09-15 MKB fine linear detail has been added to the upper and lower part of the circular portion of the eyes to indicate eyelashes [Input: L915mkb2.j]
