Description (summary) 2003-08-21 jw a raised structure, demarked by well-defined lines of stones on the east and south sides, scattered stones along the north side and nothing but the west faces of the N and S stone lines on the west. [Input: N821jw.j]
2004-08-17 jw This feature, discovered during the MZ14 excavation season, consisted of a U-shaped containment of large stones, laid in the form of three walls (foundations?), but not bonded with mortar in k3. The interior consisted of a shallow hemispherical basin, made of either packed clay or pise. It was removed as one feature despite its having several components, including the aforementioned stones and basin, as well as some fill underneath. As it turns out, it was built over an earlier walled room, which in turn was built using some components of a large reception room of the Phase 2 palace. [Input: O817jw.j]
