Description/Count
description (summary) 2008-8-16 lC Accumulation type "a" between two pavements f50 and f80. It is composed by a reddish soft layer with small patches of red bricky (baqaia) material with small white limestone inclusions and really small pebbles and few sherds. These patches could be a sort of preparation for the cobble stone pavement f50 that was above. This accumulation seems to be limited just to this area below the f50 and stopping towards the south next to the ashy layer f36 along a row of stones that probably were used to contain the ashy layer from the south. [Input File: S816lC.j]
2008-8-14 yM A patch of small rounded pebbles sitting on an orange compact soil. In the eastern part the soil is softer and gray in color; in the western part it is slightly harder. The difference between the orange color and the gray is clear and well defined. The feature contains some sherds, a lot of them are rounded and worn; the rounded sherds and pebbles possibly indicate the presence of water. In the southern area a lot of animal bones were found, possibly from the same animal because they were all found in the same place. [Input File: S819se.j]

Recovery/Assignment
daily notes 2008-8-06 lR Removed the cobblestone pavement today, with the soil underneath it labeled as f81. A new pavement was found under the cobblestones f50, thus f81 is both the accumulation under f50 and above another floor surface f80. f81 may also be a subfloor between the cobblestones and a drain f83, however the area has only been partially excavated and remians unclear. [Input File: S806lr.j]
strategy (projected or implemented) 2008-8-10 lR sg Discussed with fAB the possibility of removing the drain installation in k13, including f80 stone pavement and f81 accumulation over the pavement. Today we relayed the drain to create a template for a drawing. The advantages of removing the drain would be to expose the next phase below while coming towards the south of f105 and f41 wall. We are under the assumption that the drain is a later phase associated with the tannur f42 and pavement f35 which was removed yesterday. We plan to discuss this strategy with gB at the next meeting.
