This may also be a surface such as f232, but it is a different matrix, much darker and more compact. f240 seems to slope to the south following the slope of the escarpment and may be the same feature as f238 which we will determine after more excavation. f240 abuts and overlays minimally f239, the mudflows directly to the north and overlaying the escarpment. 	2006-10-02	mS	continues down several cm, and remains densely packed with pebbles, sherds and bones. This does slope down and gradually merge with f239 which is less densely packed. [Input: Q926MS.j]

Harmonization	2011-09-28	lC	To distinguish from a cronological point of view the two moments (EDIII construction/use and Mittani use) we created two features f900 (EDIII construction) and f901 (Mittani use) that were respectively assigned to s610J1A and s190J1A. Problems in recording	2011-09-28	lC	This feature (as f238 and f325) was interpreted as the first Mittani pavement in the Plaza. Further analisys show the pavement was built in EDIII and used until Mittani period. The two different moments were excavated as a single one, so the pottery is mixed Mittani, EDIII and Ninevite 5 (coming from levels underneath). [Input: V928LC.j]

Stratigraphic reasons of assignment	2006-10-07	mS	this feature may be the same as f238 which is the first surface we have reached which follows the slope of the escarpment. We currently consider this accumulation to be Khabur, stratum 30. [Input: QX06MS1.j]
