Summary | 2009-9-11 | lC | Upper row of flat stones belonging to the stone escarpment found in J5. This stone escarpment is preserved in J1, just with this northern row of flat big stones, embedded in the material belonging to the first escarpment as v401 and v419 show. Description | 2009-8-2 | lC | This feature is the same of J5 f188. Big flat stones almost in perfect line embedded in the red bricky material belonging to the second escarpment f239. The three stones to the east are slightly sloped to the south, perhaps for water damage of the escarpment. Assuming the early escarpment f196 seems to rise to the west we can't exclude that these stones could be part of the earlier structure, but just more excavation could probe it. Stratigraphic reasons | 2011-2-11 | lC | Same as Early Escarpment f196, different on the base of the construction tecnique. At the base of Revetment Wall. Some doubts regarding its chronology, it could be earlier, because going to the west, in J5 it does not follow exactly the base of Ed III Revetment Wall. [Input file: V212LC.J / V212LC.-J] |
