Text description of view 2010-08-12 jW This view shows all of the wall systems built in this place from before the EDIII period through the late Mittani period. The top stones of wall, f284, are the earliest, but cannot yet be dated. The stone escarpment, ^esc1 consisting of f184, f225, f265, and f293, has EDIII deposits overlaying it. Its alignment with wall, f41, to the west and its divergence from the main EDIII revetment wall, f189, to the east suggest that f41 and ^esc are associated and were built before f189. Wall, f3, was dated to the late Mittani period, and only roughly follows the alignment of the f41 and f189 walls (a portion of it rests on a soil pillar, f294). Finally, a layer of stones, f192 was laid atop f3 in the final stages of Mittani occupation. [Input: U812JW.j]
