This is the final photograph of locus
k100
, which collects odd-shaped projections due to excavation in several different grid orientations. It shows the dual nature of accumulations which built up against and eventually covered the revetment wall,
f3
, and its top stones,
f192
. The lower of the two accumulations is laminar,
f174
. It is the debris from decaying mudbrick and pise buildings that was washed down from the surrounding hills and collected in a bounded space. After abandonment, aeolian soil was deposited and formed natural accumualtion
f159
.
