Text description of view | 2008-09-22 | jW | This final photograph shows the eastern end of the revetment wall system (which we assume was built during the Early Dynastic period) at the junction of excavation units J1 and J5. The wall, f189, had a baqaya escarpment, f184, which gradually became covered with mud residue, f169. At the bottom of the photograph, one can see a line of stones which may be part of another, earlier wall system, possibly built in the Late Chalcolithic period. [Input: S922JW.j] |
