The very concept of authorship has been already well described by Prof. Giorgio Buccellati in the parent website Cybernetica Mesopotamica; nevertheless, this page will present to the reader how this concept is perceived and technically embodied in the eLibrary itself.

The two concepts/definitions of “authorship”
The concept of authorship implies two crucial aspects:
- Responsability: the authors of a page in this book are responsible for both the content and the format of the data;
- Credits: the contributors, at any level, to the eLibrary are duly credited for the pages they authored.

Tasks & responsabilities
The contributors to the eLibrary are responsible at different levels, acoording to the different tasks they are assigned.
In the following sub-sections the main roles and tasks are briefly described, listing also the people who contributed over the time.

Main Editor
The main editor is responsible for the content and organization of the whole eLibrary.
He/she is also usually the main contributor to the bibliographical entries in Section B: Material.
Here are listed the main editors of the eLibrary:
- working on the previous format of the eLibrary, as a section incorporated in the Urkesh website (Version 1):
- working on the current version of the eLibrary, as a separated and independent book (Version 2):

Webmaster
The webmaster is responsible for the correct functioning of the programs running the eLibrary:
- (2018-present): Bernardo Forni wrote the MID and DABI programs which are used to create the bibliographical entries displayed in the present website in the Markdown language.
