Time Sequencing

Roster Date Author Record
Notes on time sequencing 2007-08-16 jW This locus was one of four in an E-W line to the south of the expected location of the south face of revetment wall, f11. These loci were excavated to provide a good sight line to the wall, glacis and temple. They were excavated to a depth of about one meter as half squares with an inward sloping south baulk. This locus was the last to be excavated because it was where we parked the wagons that carried away the back dirt brought up from deeper loci by the shaffat. Due to the imminent arrival of the Minister of Culture, excavation of k92 was rushed and relatively poorly documented. No photographs were taken, and only the east baulk was drawn, w32. However, little was sacrificed because the features were natural accumulations deposited after abandonment across the entire temple plaza and containd almost no cultural material. The photographs and drawings of adjacent loci, k91, k92, and k11 provide adequate details for stratigraphic analysis of this locus. [Input: R816JW.j]
