Objects from excavations are washed, described, photographed and drawn. At the end of the season, important objects are sent to the museum and all other objects are stored in boxes in the storage rooms of the expedition house for future reference and special studies. A sequential number is assigned to each artefact, and these are then categorised based on the typology and material of the object. The ZSB box number is recorded on each page of the item and q-item in the Global Record.
In J6 were recorded 571 objects recorded. The metals are storaged in the conservation laboratory in the expedition house (i10 and i20 were taken for chemical analysis), the stone cut seals i17 and i18 were sent to the Deir ez-Zor Museum, the seal impressions are in the conservation room. All other objects are in the storage rooms.
