At the end of the excavation season, the loci are photographed, documented, and then covered with layers of plastic sheeting and backdirt to protect them from the worst effects of winter rain, wind, and soil deposition. This photograph documents the cover that was applied in mid-September and should be contrasted with a photograph from about the same location that was taken before the covering process began, v194.
