Definition 2001-06-09 lr ^ floor, type a [Input: L815LR.j]
Description (summary) 2001-07-12 sV A floor showing scattered patches of well preserved plaster. It lies underneath accumulation f50 and has quite an irregular surface, particularly in the middle area where it forms some bumps then slopes down in correspondence of an indentation f59, which we assume to be contemporary to the floor. Another similar deep depression can be seen next to the North wall f7, to the presumed NW corner of a1. Those indentations were probably made in order to continue to house the large stone components associated to the earlier floor f62. A square mud brick resting on the floor f51 and likely aligned to the two limestone stones would seem to belong to the same installation. Two Khabur jars i2 and i4 are also associated to this floor. The first one seems to rest on an indentation of the floor; the second one standing in the NW corner of a1, rests directly on the floor. [Input: L729SV.j]

Recovery/Assignment

Roster Date Author Record
Daily notes about recovery of elements 2001-06-20 fAB In k5 we are following the floor f51, to determine its relationship to a3 and to the East we are digging the baulk to find the corner of a3. [Input: L630TR.j]
2001-06-21 sB The plastered floor, f51, is not found everywhere, i.e. not found yet in the south part of the room, but may still be there. It was decided to remove most of the section, leaving a ledge of 40cm against the North wall that is f7. In the section as well as the floor there are still a lot of bricks from the brickfall which is a4. gB thinks that the floor, f51, in k5 is contemporary; or at least at the same level as f29 (floor) in k6. [Input: L630TR.j]
2001-06-25 lR It appears that there is another floor under f51 approximately 10 to 12cm below. [Input: L630TR.j]
Strategy (projected or implemented) 2001-06-26 fAB Today we finished digging the accumulation above floor f51; concluding for now our work within and below a3. The next step in k5 will be the removal of the brickfall a4 in this locus [Input: L630TR.j]
