Rather the containment is formed by a crude wall, f121, seemingly built from sherds and soil as seen in view v73c. The bottom is quite smooth and concave, resembling a basin. There are conflicting statements as to whether there was burned soil or kiln waste. I conclude that the actual function is not known and must be generized as industrial at this point in time.
