Stratigraphy
Phase 6v collects the features deposited just as the Khabur settlement was being abandoned. Only Stratum 230 comprises this phase. It consists of four features - accumulations f5, f34, and f388 as well as subfloor 477. Accumulation f5 is the highest level containg items identified as Khabur and covers Khabur walls f6 and f7 as well as an interior accumulation f21. Accumulation f34 is covered by the first accumulation under topsoil, f22. Both f5 and f34 contain many items associated with settlement activies. On the other hand, accumulation f388 and subfloor f477 were only seen in section and were assigned to this stratum based upon their elevation. |
