Description (summary) | 2005-09-07 | MISSING | f286 (v123, v123a) is a natural accumulation in k4. It is very fine in texture (clayish), very compact but soft in consistence (when crushed with the big pick it assume a plate structure) and is characterized by the presence of charcoals, which are spread in all the surface where f286 has been individuated. It is brown in colour. It is very similar to f150, also located in k4. [Input: P907SC.j] |

Argument | 2008-03-12 | pC | f286 at a certain point presents a very nice and uniform surface, basically constituited by melted bricks (red and gray in colour) [Input: S211PC2.j] |
Problems in recording | 2008-03-06 | pC | f286 is a very thick feature, wich include several other layers: due to the rapidity of the last days of excavation, theese layers were not recorded [Input: S306PC.j] |

Other reasons, reservations, qualifications | 2005-09-14 | mH | Layering shows very active use as the seed layer and the presense of pits, for example, show. [Input: S215PC.j] |
2011-05-16 | cJC | Under layers with pits and under f150 indicating it is present before use during the brickfall process. [Input: V516CJC.j] | |
2011-11-21 | cJC | f286 was excavated on a level surface and is also 70cm thick. Therefore it may contain more than one moment in time. In the east it appears to be just above the EDIII deposits, while in the west is certainly composed of brickfall. There are some pits cut into this feature that suggest it might have been present during the time of the use of the brickfall (s159JPD) or it may lie just under the brickfall. Due to the uncertainty I am assigning it to the first phase of the brickfall. It does not appear to be EDIII, and definitely includes some brickfall features. The uppermost (and easternmost) portions might be more properly assigned to s159JPD. [Input: VY21CJC.j] |
