Deep bowl in CH ware, square rim, smoothed on the interior and over the rim but interior left rough with many small linear chaff holes, thin self slip, much chaff, sand and small calcite, very heavy clay as a result. With rim diameter 34cm the complete vessel must have been impossible to move when full but may have been to some extent moveable when empty. [Input: TY19MKB.j] |
