Stratigraphy

Phase 2m is the erliest Phase reached in J6. This phase is dated to the LC3 only on the base of deposition. Pottery collected in the layers was too small. A portion of a mudbrick wall f324 is located under under the flank staircase wall f129 and revetment wall f218 dated to Phase 3m. Other mudbrick walls were found in Units B6 and J3. They are located under Phase 3m Temple Terrace and are dated by pottery to the Late Ninivite V (B6-Inst. 53) and to the LC3 Period (J3f348). For similarity in deposition and mudbricks, the wall is dated to the LC3 Period.
