Overview

Phase 8m represents the upper layers of J7 during which some large stones were placed inside of the ongoing accumulations. These stones appear to be linked to a similar distribution of stones in J2 during the same Phase.

Stratigraphy

The J7 loci were all excavated volumetrically, meaning that they were excavated in features of 50cm depth. Because of this excavation strategy the individual deposits of the accumulations were not recorded as separate features, however, the deposits proved to be fairly uniform. The stones are found along the eastern edge of J7, perhaps delimiting the eastern boundary of the Plaza during Phase 8m.

Objects

Since this phase is defined only by the floating stones detected there were no q-lots assigned to this phase and therefore no items of typological significance.
