| Description (summary) | 2003-07-25 | ms | rock peices from lining of north kiln a30. This rock apears to be volcanic. It is black and has large holes like volcanic rock or lava. This rock is extremely useful for conducting heat. It lined the upper layers of this kiln and covered orange bricky material. Although we are assuming this is volcanic rock, it has not been determind by professionals to be so and may just be lining whose composition has been changed by the intense temperatures of the kiln.
