This shows the interior of the kiln. f419 is hard, burnt material, very similar to volcanic rock. f429 is the layer underneah f419. This seems to be brick lining for the kiln rather than a section. It is very red most likely because of the the heat. f417 is a layer of red material outside the kiln. Considered part of kiln waste, but powdery and with few inclusions.
