Introduction

Animal bones were collected the same way as sherds. It is placed in bags and given the same q-lot number as the associated ceramic sherds. It appears though that these remains have not been analyzed so far by a paleozoology expert. Other animal bones that were found buried or in a more identifiable archeological context were given an item or q item number. There are 2 such cases in J4. i5 is a Saluki dog entire skeleton that was found in f86 (fill of pit f85) in a very good state of preservation.

i6 has been assigned to the frog bones that were found under the Saluki dog bones i5 in f86 (fill of pit f85). The bones are complete and in a very good state of preservation. The bones were handed to hP for analysis. This seems to have been done before photographing the item, therefore it appears that there is no photographic documentation of this item at the moment.
