Stratigraphy

Phase 5m contains the latest deposits and simple structures that can be associated with occupation during the Isin Larsa period. The main palace walls on the eastern and southern sides were still standing and the former rooms between them were partially filled. This phase was greatly affected by gullys the carried away deposits and mixed them randomly.

Stratum 320 contains all the accumulations and structural elements associated with the last ceramic phase 4 occupation. Furthermore it transitions into Phase 6c with no clear boundary due to the influence of the gullys and the relatively light use of this area after the palace was abandoned. There were a few lines of bricks, minor walls, and surfaces associated with them. The function of these elements could not be determined. Accumulation f381 was deep and may be associated with earlier strata. It was cut by a large Khabur period pit, a29.
