Stratigraphic reasons of assignment 2008-03-05 pC pottery dated to Khabur period [Input: S305PC.j]
Typological reasons for assignment 2008-03-05 pC it is still end of mittani, while all the other features at this level are mittani and this feature would be the only one dated to Khabur; Probably transitional feature [Input: S305PC.j]
Other reasons, reservations, qualifications 2011-05-16 cJC This feature has conflicting assignments based on previous excavators and pottery. Based on the ceramics and the seal impression it probably dates to the EDIII period. The Khabur sherds may be introduced from another feature above this (as per the excavators), however, the elevations are roughly the same as f303, also in k14 which is dated to the EDIII as well. [Input: V516CJC.j]
2011-11-21 cJC This featue may contain some intrusive later sherds but likely belongs to later phases of EDIII. [Input: VY21CJC.j]
Notes on time sequencing 2005-09-08 mKB this feature had in it a seal impression dating to late ED III-Early Akkadian period. The ceramics in the lot dated from the Khabur period with a medium and a small body sherd of painted Khabur type and a painted Khabur necked jar sherd. Otherwise the body sherds were from ware types prevalent in Phase 1 and te lot contained a Ph 1 conical cup rim. The excavators have explained this mixture as resulting from a cut made in the Khabur period into Phase 1 deposits. [Input: P908MKB.j]
