Description (summary) | 2009-08-01 | cJC | Pebble and sherd floor in the southern portion of k110. Presumably the floor covered the entire locus but we have only the portion remaining where we are cutting down the south section of k110. The floor is about 5cm thick with the sherds mostly lying flat. There are many pebbles in both the surface of the floor and also the matrix that makes up the subfloor. The surface of the floor appears gray but when picked it is a rich brown color. The soil is coarse but when you rub it between your fingers it is very soft and fine. [Input: T801CJC.j] |

Stratigraphic reasons of assignment | 2009-09-16 | cJC | Floor above (f344) dated to EDIII with ceramics and floor below (f359) is also EDIII so all layers between were also assigned to EDIII based on stratigraphy. [Input: T916CJC.j] |
Typological reasons for assignment | 2009-09-18 | mKB | q856-p10 and -p15 coarse medium gray string cut cup bases; q856-p1, -p5, -p6 flat bases of cups or bowls with lower vessel walls rounded just above the base; q856-p11 with squared rim in a coarse ware; q856-p8, -p13, -p17 jars with rim pointed and rounded on the exterior; q856-p1 jar with interior grooved rim; q856-p14 flaring rim jar [Input: T920MKB3.j] |
