Glacis

The glacis is a 50cm thick and band of red orange soil and mudbricks f164, laid to protect the side of eastern staircase flank wall. The upper surface of the glacis has a marked inclination to the south. We followed this layer to the East until mudbrick wall f166 and to the North abuts wall f227. The glacis was damaged by the pit f199 during phase h5c-J6B.
