Overview

During this phase a pit was excavated directly east of the staircase flank wall.

Hollow pit

Hollow pit f199 cuts the two glacis ^glacis3 and ^glacis8 but leaved untouched the staircase flank wall f129. The fill consisted of different brownish and graysh soil with ash. We collected several animal bones, a large amount of pottery sherds, carbon, clay lumps tannur. It seems it was a waste pit.

Typology

The ceramics analyzed from the pit fill is Phase 5 (old Phase 4 UrIII) Link to pottery analysis of this phase. This feature was reach in material: sealings, roofing material, tannur, kiln waste, grinding stones, baked bricks. To be mentioned are following objects:
