The assemblages were created during the excavations as a way to help understand the stratigraphy and typology of the ceramics. Some are grouped solely by feature. Assemblages were not intended to be comprehensive and the full ceramic catalogs can be found in the ceramics book in the Shapes by Horizon section.
J6 assemblages were initially digitised in 2016. They consisted of four assemblages based on four sets of plates provided by Marilyn Kelly-Buccellati. These have now been reviewed after an extensive ceramic review, with one assemblage removed, and others added, based on additional plates of especially key features. Assemblage numbers 5 and above were assigned and added in May 2025 by Laerke Recht, using Marilyn Kelly-Buccellati’s plates.
