Der monumentale Palasthof von Tall Mozan/Urkeš und die stratigraphische Geschichte des ābi,
Mitteilungen der Deutschen Orient-Gesellschaft zu Berlin 136, pp. 13-39.
In MDOG’s 2004 report (dealing with UCLA’s 15th campaign of 2002), a wide description is provided about the excavations of the Royal Palace of Tell Mozan and of the stratigraphy of the ābi [for this structure, see also Urkesh website].
After an introduction describing the team (paragraph 1), paragraph 2 is all devoted to the stratigraphy of the Royal Palace and the function of its monumental courtyard.
Paragraph 3 presents the stratigraphy of the ābi (labelled as underground structure AU), describing the development of its structure from phase 1 to phase 5 and investigating its function (probably a necromantic pit).
Paragraph 4 displays the major finds of this campaign: the sealings from Area A16 (and in detail sealings nos. A16.108, A16.117, A16q834.1, A16.c2, A16.c3 and A16.c1 [see also Urkesh website]) and the zoomorphic (pig-face) vessel A12.149 [see also Urkesh website].
