2004-06-24 jw representative of the Department of Antiquities, Hickman, began to work with the unit, joining jw and gm. gm spent the last two hours after breakfast processing objects at home. [Input: O625JW.j]
2004-06-27 jw gm ill and worked at home for the entire day. As long as this situation continues, jw will be the sole staff member at the site and therefore the journal will be sparse. Most of his time will be devoted to supervising operations and maintaining the logs. [Input: O628JW4.j]

2004-07-04 jw jo joined the field staff. The initial plan is for him to spend the first half of the morning on site and be available for occasional tasks in the afternoon. 2004-07-07 jw dc joined the staff this morning. Although she will be primarily responsible for work in A12, she will spend today re-familiarizing herself with A14 and routine data recording and analysis procedures. jw spent one hour before breakfast at home entering data for the surveyor and other computer work. 2004-07-10 jw jw and gm worked full days and evenings at home O709 and O710 to enter and process all recorded data to give to gb for the browser edition of the A14 global record for the first half of the MZ17 excavation season. [Input: O711JW.j]

2004-08-12 jw dc departed for Italy. jw now the sole person working on A14, but the last several days he has been working on the stratigraphic record for A09, located on the opposite side of the AK building and which is expected to provide clues for the analysis of both A14 and A09.
